I am close to burning out. Plus the situation around the world is getting to me. I am finding it very difficult to get to ASL stuff. I’m not playing well, and VASL continues to crap on me, and that is a bad combo. This will be a lengthy ASL hiatus.
I’ve got some other stuff to get to in my small gaming library, so I’m going to have a go at those. Finishing Hatten in Flames with Bud is up in the air now with the current situation.
My posting here is going to be sporadic at best.
I started a Skies Above the Reich campaign and didn’t enjoy it as much as I had hoped. Back on the shelf with it.
I am currently learning Fields Of Fire from GMT. Got one game in, messed some stuff up, but went fairly well and I like it. Watched some playthroughs to help me get started. Will start a campaign now. Hope I like it better than SAtR.
Still have my D-Day series games to get to. Plus Mage Knight, Cthulhu: Death may Die, Eldritch Horror and Pandemic Cthulhu. Plus The Hunters series from GMT. All solo games.
Jason and I will hopefully play something else once we wrap up our ASL scenario.
I know plenty of people who’s risk with this virus is worse than mine, but I am hoping to get through without contact. I am male, over 50, former smoker and have a health condition. I do not get out much now. My oldest daughter is an RN and has now been in a building (hospital) that has a case. Fortunately she has not been close to it, but we worry about it.
I write this at the end of March (29th). To all of you on the East and West coasts and in the other hotspots like Louisiana, please take care of yourselves. My goal is to sit across a table from all of you at some point, no matter the game. Kansas is far from a hotspot yet, but we have some cases here. I think it is only a matter of time. Fortunately, our Governor was proactive. Hopefully we can fend off the worst.
